Annual Blue & Gray Invite - SEA
In a see-saw battle throughout the day, Dave Balzer's Blue team pulls away
late in the meet for the team victory. The addition of
the running "handicaps - cushions..." made for some good competition and PR's
in a windy and downright cold day at Sea. All but
four meet records are taken down inclusing brand new records in the javelin and
400 IH. The '01 team takes down the '03 squad
in the Alumni 2x200 Relay of Champions.

The 2008 Outdoor Season kicks off with fierce winds at Icahn Stadium

with a surprise 5th place finish. All four runners set PR's as St. Joe's
reverses its 22nd seed. Mike Baio and Matt Simeone set PR's

2/16 -
Pepsi Hall of Fame
Classic - Armory
An excellent
conclusion to indoor season for most of our team. Solid doubles and many PR's
recorded in a school record for least hours
spent in the Armory - 4 hrs. It was a worthwhile trip as the Varsity 4x400
record falls as Dave Balzer, Nick Italiano, Dan Zaccariello and
Tom Frasca become the first 4x400 relay to dip under 3:30 in school history.
The "B" team goes under 3:40. The team runs real tough on
a day filled with PR's and solid doubles.
** Tom Frasca, who missed his entire junior year due to a hamstring injury,
is the perfect example of "Never Give Up!" It took
some time but Tom Frasca is now where he wants to be with a fast outdoor season
ahead! - Great Job!
