Novice Champs - Armory
The Vikings kick off the new year in fine fashion with a third place finish
at the Novice Champs. Liam Vogt places second in the
55 as Andrew Musco wins the PV with a 10'-6 vault. He later cleared 11
feet in the varsity portion of the pole vault. The 4x200
and 4x400 relays both earn medals and the 4x800 runs a very competitive race
just missing a win. Sam Mondello, on the double,
crushed his PR by 6 seconds. Mike Carballiera wins the junior weight HJ
and places third in the novice HJ by clearing 5'-6, a new
personal best. Big Meena Farid wins the varsity shot put and the Varsity 4x400
gets fourth place. Adam Civitano runs 50 pt and
George Setteducato just misses breaking 52! In total, 31 medals were won
on the day!
