1/23 - NYCHSAA Sectionals - Armory
The Vikings avenge last week's S.I. Champs loss in dramatic fashion with a come from behind victory at the Armory. The team
rides a bunch of "quality" performances including Sectional Champions Adam Civitano (400 & 800), Bobby Mirfield (55 HH)
and the 4x800 Relay of George Setteducato, Tyler Franco, Paul Brancale and Alex Civitano. Adam Civitano's two victories
earned him the "Track MVP" Award, his second MVP award in as many meets. His 400 on the double also broke a 13 year old
school record which was held by Adam Risi '98. Silver Medalists included Alex Civitano (1000), Liam Vogt (LJ & TJ) and Meena
Farid (Shot). Bobby Mirfield and Nick Connors run big races in the 400 to just miss getting in the scoring. Freshmen Nick
D'Addesa breaks five in the 1600 to earn a bronze medal in the freshmen division.
