Frosh/Soph Sectionals - Iona Prep H.S. Great efforts throughout the day as the team crowns FIVE Sectional Champions and break3 school records. Robbie Guidicipietro breaks the Soph 3200 record. The Soph 4x200 Relay of Joe Somma, Garth Ikomi, Kyle Rivera & James Mahoney crush the school record and run a blazing fast 1:35.3 for the victory. Kyle Sinclair wins his first Sectional Title in the 400 IH and just misses in the 110 HH. The Frosh 4x200 of Joe Arnone, Jeremy Cassamassino, Lorenzo Francisco & Joe Cottone run a seasonal best of 1:42.1 and win the Sectional Title. Joe Cottone wins the Sectional HJ Title with a 5'-4 jump. Team-wise, it was some tough breaks that kept the sophs out of the top 3, so the sophs settled for 5th place - 2 pts out of 3rd place.
