Final Coaches Comments
Aiese – A very solid and respectable XC season. I think you learned a lot more about running this season than any other season in your career. The times don’t truly show your maximum potential, that’ll come indoors. A very dependable and loyal #4 man.
Casey – “Everyday Casey,” the official stats man of Sea XC. If you only didn’t doubt yourself in your races, I’m sure you would’ve taken huge steps forward. Don’t ever doubt yourself especially come indoors. You dedication is not overseen.
Criscione – We had some good things going early. It’s better we took care and got it straightened out so you could have a very successful indoor season.
Freeman – A very rollercoaster-like season for you. I think you learned from your past. I watched every workout you ran this season. There is absolutely no reason for you to ever be doubtful before your races. Remember that. You’ve developed a lot since your freshmen year; keep that going.
Gedeon – The epitome of the family atmosphere of this team. The times and performances are second to your life. The guys have really helped you a lot this year and I know you are grateful. It didn’t really pan out the way we thought this season would; but you need to take a break and get ready for a big indoor season.
Jasionek – Despite an injury, you got right into the swing of things. If we only had that missed training back. You’ll be fine during indoors, real quick.
Pastrana – You’ve had your highs and lows. You’ve been a great example to the young guys especially through the spiritual/ community service events. A great team player.
Recce – The most sensational season for any Sea XC runner. The accomplishments are many but I’m more proud of your development as a fine team captain. You are a natural born leader and have done wonders for the team.
Scibetti – I’m so happy that you were able to end your career with a long awaited PR. Off the trail/track you have been a wonderful asset to the team. You did anything and everything that the team needed of you and for that I thank you.
Aiese – The illness came at the worst time for you; just as you were starting to round into form. You will be a major player in XC 06’.
Baetz – Basically, a novice for the entire season. You have improved tremendously from 04’-05’. Your time will come, trust me.
Billera – A couple of changes to your workout routines will help you become a better overall athlete. You put together a pretty solid XC season as well.
Cipriano – I’m so glad you were able to affect the team this year. Just remember where you were last season. Solid indoor and outdoor seasons and you will be a major force on the island for XC 06’. I’m proud of you.
DeYro – Another “indoor” guy that was able to put together a decent XC season. Joe Lucchio ran 15:26 his junior yr and broke 14:00 as a senior. He was also a “sprinter…”
LoPresti – This was going to be a break-out season for you. Unfortunately, you got hurt. You will rebound and help the team once again.
Sexton – One of the greatest junior cross country seasons in school history. You will make your mark next year for sure. You will be very satisfied with the indoor/outdoor seasons this year while you “condition” for XC 06’.
Balzer – This season you were an unsure sophomore. Your big break-out race didn’t happen yet. When it does you will find yourself with best of the Island and CHSAA.
Callery – It’s tough to improve without a tough work ethic. If you change your training attitude you will develop a racing attitude that will be hard to beat.
Hann – Solid season with some nice PR’s. You’re getting there little by little.
Misc.
Many thanks to the indoor guys and injured athletes that helped us with the notebook, finish line and splits on the course. You were a major ingredient in the terrific season we had. Thanks!
I think you guys were one of the most supportive freshmen groups we have ever had. Keep up the great work. 95% of you were with the team since July 1st , which is certainly admirable. There are some among you that will find yourselves running Varsity XC in Sept 2006.
Keep working hard and let’s make this frosh team larger and stronger come indoor season. Spread the great word about the Sea Track Family.
